Attitude Check Up
A beautiful quote helps keep it all in perspective.
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, gift, or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes. "~ Charles Swindoll

Begin with the end in Mind for 2010
Pull your numbers together from 2009 - number of parties held, number of bookings/datings, number of new recruits. Look at the income your work generated for you and your family.
Now a cup or coffee or tea and a blank sheet of paper ~
When looking at the numbers only YOU can answer the question - Is it enough? Enough income? Am I dating more shows than I can hold? Am I helping others have a business of their own? Is it enough?
If you continue to do what you have always done, you will continue to get what you've always got. Is it enough?
Only you can answer.
Have a great week coming up and stay tuned for a new tip each week during 2010.
Wishing you continued success in the greatest profession - Direct Selling!!

“I only want people around me who can do the impossible.”

Monday's Tip ~ using your time wisely!
Decide each day how much time you can spend on your business.
- 15 minutes ~ you can make 3 to 5 phone calls, whether you connect or leave a message. Perhaps when you get their voice mail you could say something like this: "Hi this is ____ with _________ and your fingers can't dial fast enough to connect with me so I can share some exciting news I have for you. My number is ________ "
- Save money~by having your party or show folders or packets ready for new bookings/shows. When you are at your event and you schedule new activites you can give your new host the envelope with all her info for her party. No mailing or dropping off later which cost you time and money.
- Keep track of mileage. Go to your bank and get a couple of extra check book registers. Each time you leave your home put the date/destination of your trip/beginning milege/ending mileage/total miles
Let make it a marvelous Monday and remember!

Hello from Syl

As most of you know I've been in the direct sales field for over 35 years. I love it. 31 years ago I open my business with Tupperware® and after just 2 years of "playing" around with the business I left my job as adminstrative assistant with the 7-Up Company and have been full time with Tupperware® ever since.
I have always enjoyed training, speaking and helping people motivate themselves to greater success. I have been a guest trainer with other companies and have enjoyed speaking on different subjects at eWomen Network meetings. I am a Life Time Member with the Direct Selling Women's Alliance which is a wonderful organization that is in place to add training, motivation and more to everyone, no matter which Direct Selling Company you are privileged to be a part of.
I look forward to sharing as we go forward.
Let's make it a Fantastic Friday and beyond.
Syl :) :)
